The Winter Drumline is an optional extracurricular percussion unit consisting of the marching drum line with an accompanying rhythm section. This group is active after the marching season has concluded and performs marching band-style music and drills — indoors!  There are approximately 4-5 competitions per season and a spring concert.

WINTER DRUM LINE SEASON

Winter Drumline season begins with auditions in early October and continues through February/March. Winter Drumline usually rehearses twice each week after school. Additional rehearsals may be required just before scheduled performances.

UNIFORMS

Winter Drumline uniforms are purchased through the Music Boosters and paid for by the student. Costs are approximately $135.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Parents are expected to volunteer to support the Winter Drumline program. Opportunities include chaperoning for competitions and helping move equipment as part of the pit crew. Signup Genius is used to volunteer for the various events.

COST

Winter Drumline fees are approximately $150/year plus the cost of the uniform and instrument rental, if needed.  Fees cover the cost of equipment, music, instruction, and props if needed. Students have the opportunity to offset some of these costs through participation in band fundraisers throughout the year.
