The Falconaires are a top-rated flag and rifle corps and provide a stunning visual element to the marching band show. This is an optional extracurricular activity open to all students interested in dance and rhythmic movement. Each year, the Falconaires produce a new routine and costumes to enhance the marching band show. They perform in competition with the Falcon Regiment. Auditions for the Falconaires are held every spring.

The Falcon Regiment  performs at all home football games and participates in 4-5 regional competitions each year. The regiment also performs at Briar Woods to welcome students on the first day of school, during pep rallies and other school events.

FALCONAIRES SEASON

The Falconaires season begins with Band Camp on August 1 and continues through the end of the football season in November. Band Camp runs the first two weeks of August for two sessions each day, Monday through Friday. Participation at Band Camp is mandatory as time is very limited to complete the show in time for the start of football and competition season. After Band Camp, the Falconaires generally practice 2-3 times per week after school.

UNIFORMS

All Falconaires are fitted with a costume to enhance the theme of the show. These costumes are purchased by the students and remain at the school during the season.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Parents are expected to volunteer to support the program. Opportunities include chaperoning for practices, football games and competitions, helping move equipment as part of the pit crew, helping with pre-game dinners, or assisting with uniform fittings and dressing. Signup Genius is used to volunteer for the various events.

COST

Falconaires fees may vary slightly year to year but are approximately $100/year plus the cost of the costume. Students have the opportunity to offset some of these costs through participation in band fundraisers throughout the year.
