Main responsibilities

  • Determine the volunteer requirements are for a particular event and source parents to meet those requirements:
  • Undertake orientation of new parents/volunteers.
  • Work with other MBO Board members to ensure any other volunteer requirements are met. For example: for Concert/Marching Attire events; Fund-raising events; Trip events and Picture Days.
  • Use Sign-Up Genius for all volunteer communication.
  • Attend Board meetings and general membership meetings.
  • Collate volunteer hours.

Time required per week/per month and during the day/evening or weekend

  • Depending on the time of the year and evens on the calendar, it can range from 1 hour per week to several hours several days per week.

Key skills required

  • Organizational skills are essential and the ability to persuade and influence.
